A website is often the product. Rebuilding it as a separate Android interface can be a much bigger project than getting that experience onto a phone.
AppBuilder is designed for the simpler case: package an existing website as an Android app using a WebView, then choose a few device behaviours that make sense for your site.
It is not a native-code converter. Your website still provides the pages and core experience. AppBuilder gives you a managed way to create an Android package around it, without pretending those are the same thing.
Keep app details and build preferences together
Start by creating an app profile for the website you want to package. The profile keeps its identifying details and build preferences together, so you can return to it when you want to request a later build.
A build uses a snapshot of the selected settings. Changing the profile later is for future builds; it does not silently rewrite an APK that has already been created or alter a build request that is already queued.
Choose how the app behaves on a phone
A WebView wrapper still needs a few decisions about the device around it. AppBuilder lets you choose:
- Orientation: follow the device system setting, or force portrait or landscape.
- Keep the screen awake: prevent the display from timing out while the app is in use.
- Pinch-to-zoom: allow users to zoom the website with the usual two-finger gesture.
- Android Back: navigate backward through web history when available, or exit the app immediately.
The defaults stay conservative: system orientation, screen-awake off, pinch-to-zoom off, and Back following web history before the normal exit behaviour.
From profile to APK
The basic path is straightforward:
- Create an app profile and enter the website address.
- Choose the device settings that fit the experience.
- Request a build from the AppBuilder workspace.
- Download the APK when the build is ready, then install and test it on your Android devices.
Testing still matters. A website that works well in a desktop browser may need its own responsive polish, sign-in review, or device testing before it feels right as an app. AppBuilder packages the site; it does not automatically make every site mobile-friendly or add native features that the site does not already have.

AppBuilder is for creators, developers and small teams who already have a web experience and want a practical Android package around it. It keeps the promise narrow: manage app profiles, configure a handful of useful Android behaviours, and request builds from one NOTABIS workspace.
